| Recently I have been getting emails pointing out my neglect for posting to my blog. While I have not really felt like posting and or had time to post that should change soon. The past couple of days I attended a bioethics conference and have tons of ideas floating around in my head. I still do not have time to present any of these topics right now, but the dry spell should soon be over. So to the people who actually want to read posts that I have written.....stay tuned (and get a psych evaluation). | | |
| You can never fully appreciate what you have until it is gone (or substituted in my case). This weekend I attended Easter service at a church in Milwaukee where my family attends. Although the service was nice, I don't believe my heart was in it the way that it should have been. It was a day of celebration and yet I found my mind wandering all day to other ideas and places. Hmm - lack of focus - a common theme? I gained a greater appreciation for the worship team at my church this weekend (if this was possible). We are truly blessed to have the talent we have at such a small church. They make the worship powerful, an element I missed on Sunday. I never realized how much I focus my woship time through the music. Perhaps this was the root cause for my lack of focus. When something feels "out of place" then it is hard not to make comparisons. It is funny how traditions and experiences that were once viewed as normal can be changed in our minds to something new, foreign or even perhaps out of place. You can bet I will be listening to the Easter service online when it is posted. Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! | | |
| Would you rather snuggle up to a baby polar bear or a baby penguin?
Previously I would have said hands down the polar bear. Now, after a little more research, I might have to amend the original thought. I believe I spoke too soon. | | |
| Ah yes. The boys of summer officially return tonight. I am ecstatic the game is being played on national TV. My hope is to catch a couple of games in the new stadium this year. Last year was the first year I missed attending a game in a long time. So let the race to the pennant begin. I hope the redbirds and the brew crew are in it until the end. | | |
| So recently I have come to the conclusion my right ear canal is smaller than the left. How would one arrive at this you might ask? When I listen to my MP3 player I have a more difficult time placing the right earphone in my ear where it will stay than on the left side. I have heard of size differences based on your dominant side for hands and feet but does this extend to ear canals? (Coincidentally I am right handed). Maybe it is the manufacturer. The right earbud did not pass QC and now has consequentially given me a complex. Yeah - that's the answer. | | |
